Weekly Meal Plan March 23-27

We have finally solidified our artwork for our B’s Diner Supporting Youth Foundation Charity and I am excited.



This project has evolved greatly from the time we started. And the hardest part has been steering and guiding the students without them realizing I am steering and guiding them.

This week I had to convince the kids to drop the idea of 5 individual mug designs that we would paint ourselves (the closer we got to actually starting that the more unrealistic I realized it would be) to 1 mug design that we would have printed.

Thankfully my class is pretty business savvy…

In the end I appealed to their ability to make more money (I believe the words out of my mouth were “we could sell hundreds….maybe even…thousands this way!” to which I was met with gasps of excitement.) and to all have a say in the design (“If we choose 5 designs, 23 of you are going to have to be OK┬áthat your design is not chosen…I think you might be sad…”)

We are also going to sell chocolate cookies with our school logo printed in the chocolate.

Let me tell you, for a 9 year old, this is pretty exciting stuff.

I’m hoping we can raise a lot of money for an incredibly worthy cause that supports kids within our city in an incredible way.

Here is our vegetarian option for the week. I liked this soup the last time I made it…but guess what I forgot again? The bread….



Ribs! Yummy…and so, so easy. What could be better?

It’s parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, so tacos are an easy thing for Andrew to whip up when he gets home from work. I guess he could make oven ones if he wanted….
